Uncle Acid & The Deadbeats

So I first discovered this band from the Classic Rock Compilation which I posted here before. They are back with a new album. They are inspired by b-movie horror films from the 70's and can be seen in the album art, song titles and the style of the songs. Groovy, hallucinogenic tunes.
BUY HERE ( They are a small band so support them by buying the album, if you like them)

Lunar Dunes - Galaxsea (2011)

"There are scores of psychedelic space rock bands in existence these days, and that's a good thing, but there a few that clearly are rising to the top. And Lunar Dunes is in the top tier. Superior and inventive guitar work combined with a creative rhythm section define this amazing debut. The songs are well written with actual melodies, and aren't just skeletons to launch the next jam. There's a distinct Middle Eastern exotic flair, as evidenced by the hand percussion and soaring wordless female voice. 3) is remarkable in that it sounds like Tony Hill from High Tide jamming with the rhythm section of Can. The aggressive psychedelic space rock of 5) recalls the great Omnia Opera." - Source

Fuck Buttons - Street Horrrsing (2008)

One of my favourite electronic album. Fuck Buttons consists of duo, Andrew Hung and Benjamin John Power. I would describe this album as a mix of urban and tribal tunes. Tracks such as Colour's Move and Bright Tomorrow evokes to me the feeling of observing a city's bright neon lighted night life from a bird's eye view. While tracks such as Rib's Out and Sweet Love For Planet Earth are more organic sounding. Highly recommended album.

Jesse Sykes & The Sweet Hereafter - Marble Son (2011)

"On their previous three albums, Jesse Sykes & The Sweet Hereafter have pursued a distinctly shadowy alt. country direction, their sorrowful sound packing a high enough gloom count to catch the attention of US art-metal notables Earth (who the band’s toured with), and Sunn 0))) (Sykes sang on the collective’s 2006 Boris collaboration Altar).

Some of the heaviness of their touring partners and collaborators must have rubbed off on the Seattle band. Not that Sykes and co. have surrendered to crushing drones and near-stagnant outbreaks of hypnotic heaviness; Marble Son retains the outfit’s nuanced approach to musicianship, with members happy to keep their peace if the best interests of the tune at hand so demand." - Janne Oinonen

Plastic Crimewave Sound - Flashing Open (2004)

Plastic Crimewave Sound's Flashing Open is a diverse album of psychedelia. One moment they are playing high energy psyc-punk "Caged Fire Theme" similar to Comets On Fire, the next they are playing groovy space tune "Perfect Glass Orchads". One or two of the songs also reminds me of The Heads. As I often repeat, i'm not a great reviewer so I wouldn't trust this review much :) Form your opinion about it after you listen to this great album.

F/i

F/i or as I like to call them Fucking/insane. Highly underrated space rock band which even I didn't knew existed until a week ago. For those who don't want to download all their stuff at once because you are sceptical, choose Paradise Out Here first, it's a great album to begin with. I might post some of their other albums in the future. I'm not a great reviewer so I will conclude by saying you might like them if you are into space rock.

Vibravoid - Minddrugs (2011)

Several reviews have compared Vibravoid's new album to Pink Floyd and Spacemen 3. I hear some Syd Barret era influence and there is even a 23 minute long Pink Floyd Cover " Set Your Heart To The Sun", but I don't know Spacemen 3 enough to confirm the latter statement. On first listen it sounds good. Enjoy this drugged up album.

Trigon - 2011

Brand new Trigon.
"A product of the burgeoning European heavy-psych scene, Trigon’s non-linear approach to jam-rock sounds as authentic now as it did in its ’60s heyday.
Established in 1989 by Rainer and Stefan Lange, the German trio may be considerably more experienced that their krautrock counterparts, however, it is thanks to the likes of Colour Haze and the more recently The Machine, that their swirling, hypnotic space-rock smog is being inhaled further afield.
Like their previous efforts, Trigon have always been at their best when they allow themselves freedom – largely resulting in hair-raising guitar drones and improvised solos – elements that are filled with impulsive energy." - Chybucca Sounds

Secret Birds - Peace Birds (2011)

Groovy psych music from Australia. The band members are currently living in Tokyo and one can certainly hear some jap-psych influences in this album. Their sound has been compared to " Sun Araw, High Wolf and Ducktails" You be the judge of their sound.
Also, thanks to the uploader of the youtube video "Idumea" for the link. Highly recommended tape/album from me
