Zomes - Earth Grid (2011)

An overlooked gem from this year. It was released early in the summer I think, and I had so much fun just losing myself listening to this album. One down side about this album is that the songs are too short. other than it just perfect. Simple, melodic, pleasant and dreamy. And this concludes my last post of the year. Happy new year to Yama's hungry souls.

Oneida - Absolute II (2011)

Oneida's latest offering is as the title suggests, a change in direction from their previous release, Rated O from 2010. The band experiments with ambient/electronic music here. I don't think guitar is even used here, but it all sounds good. I hope this is just their experimental phase and they will go back to creating guitar orientated music.

Lichens - Omns (2007)

This album comes highly recommended from me. Always manages to create a strong peaceful image in my head. Lichens AKA Robert Aiki Aubrey Lowe teases his guitar creating sweet soothing and hypnotic music.

Brian Eno - Apollo:Atmospheres & Soundtracks (1983)

This album comes highly recommended from me.  I always wondered if there was a heaven, what music would the angels be playing. This is is as close as i can get on simulating the thought. Beautiful music. Eno also released a new album in 2010 which i dont think is as good as this. It is still worth checking  out.
