Escapade - But Distractions Abound (2006)

Repetitive psychedelic jams in the vein of Neu. The band's debut was a split album with Acid Mothers Temple, so you know they are good.

Beyond Stratosphere

A great band I found out through youtube last year. I couldn't find much info on this album. My guess is this is their compilation of unreleased songs. Full of spacey jams, with structure and not just lots of effects. There is also a sweet cover of The Doors song Love Me Two Times.

Over The Hills And Far Away

First off I want to thanks Matias from Get Off My Elevator for first introducing me to this great band. Secondly, thanks to Rand0msh1t for the digital copy of this album. My physical copy of the album is never going to arrive because I forgot to put the number of my house in the address :(

The great White Hills are joined by Shazzula from Aqua Nebula Oscillator in this album, who is responsible for those extra-terrestrial synthesiser sound. The weird thing about this album is being space rock, it indulges in earthly politics, alienisation of human sentiments through capitalism and consumerism. According to Ego Sensation, we have lost touch with ourselves finding thrill from electronic gadgets and technology, which I agree with.

The album seems to be an escape from all this mess, allowing the listener to shoot off the stratosphere into the blank realms of outer space, at least temporarily until the album lasts. Enjoy this spanking brand new album.

F/i or as I like to call them Fucking/insane. Highly underrated space rock band which even I didn't knew existed until a week ago. For those who don't want to download all their stuff at once because you are sceptical, choose Paradise Out Here first, it's a great album to begin with. I might post some of their other albums in the future. I'm not a great reviewer so I will conclude by saying you might like them if you are into space rock.

Vibravoid - Minddrugs (2011)

Several reviews have compared Vibravoid's new album to Pink Floyd and Spacemen 3. I hear some Syd Barret era influence and there is even a 23 minute long Pink Floyd Cover " Set Your Heart To The Sun", but I don't know Spacemen 3 enough to confirm the latter statement. On first listen it sounds good. Enjoy this drugged up album.

Psychedelic band from Russia
 "They kick things off in splendid fashion with a monumental slab of brain melting, doom encrusted psychedelics, with the scorching, eleven minute title track. This song can be viewed as springboard for the rest of the album, and it also provides a fabulous glimpse into the abundance of talent surrounding these four young musicians. Over the course of the album the listener is treated to a wealth of densely layered textures and moody atmospherics. The rubbery sounding bass lines and vigorously, fluid drum work, collide effectively with a multitude of crunchy guitar riffs and the ever present, over the top, synth washes. Eternal Tapestry - Beyond The 4th Door (2011)

Wow. This is ET's switch from Not Not Fun records to thrill Jockey and on first listen, i can hear massive difference compared to their older albums. This album is slower and more atmospheric. The last two songs will give you a sudden realization of your insignificance in the universe. They will take you on a ride to the farthest reach of the universe through which you can see many galaxies and celestial bodies scattered around gleaming as they always do. If you think im talking shit put your headphones on and listen to the album beginning to end. I'm very pleased with the album and lives up to "my" hype.

Alien Planetscapes - Life On Earth (1997)

I am feeling too bored to write a review so im going to phrase some professional review instead.

"Oh man, this album bears a challenge! Unfortunately Doug Walker is not with us anymore, because he died of a heart attack in 2006.
'Life On Earth' is his sole official album, a 1997 snapshot which holds more accessible stuff and could be easily taken for a best-of collection. The band is in excellent mood here, great interaction, while I'm quite sure, this recordings are not reworked, polished or whatsoever. So what can I say about the particular instruments? Chris Altenhoff's bass is hypnotic in general, not boring though, he provides haunting repetitive lines. Blaise Slwula contrasts with his free styled quirky saxophone all over."- Prog Archives
