Hills - Master Sleeps (2011)

Here it is, despite many blogs already posting this album. This is their second album and i haven't heard it properly myself. Only arrived in the post a few hours ago.

Enjoy

Sehnsucht - Wachstum (2011)

Psychedelic band from Russia
"They kick things off in splendid fashion with a monumental slab of brain melting, doom encrusted psychedelics, with the scorching, eleven minute title track. This song can be viewed as springboard for the rest of the album, and it also provides a fabulous glimpse into the abundance of talent surrounding these four young musicians. Over the course of the album the listener is treated to a wealth of densely layered textures and moody atmospherics. The rubbery sounding bass lines and vigorously, fluid drum work, collide effectively with a multitude of crunchy guitar riffs and the ever present, over the top, synth washes. When you put it all together it's an almost fifty minute, mind altering voyage to the cosmos." - Ryan Sparks

Mount Carmel - Mount Carmel (2010)

I missed this album last year. Well, better late than never. They play hard blues with a hint of stoner rock. According to loudandquiet, Mount Carmel "...brings in a jazz-bass riff worthy of an underground 1970s blues joint", furthur in the review they are also compared to Led Zeppelin, and Wolfmother. I cannot confirm the statement as I listen to neither of those bands. Though, I can confidently say that this is good stuff. I think it is appropriate to use the phrase, "stuck in the 70s"

Lichens - Omns (2007)

This album comes highly recommended from me. Always manages to create a strong peaceful image in my head. Lichens AKA Robert Aiki Aubrey Lowe teases his guitar creating sweet soothing and hypnotic music.

Pärson Sound - Pärson Sound (2001)

Album originally from 1967-68, later re-released in 2001. This Swedish band Pärson Sound, would later be International Harvester, Harvester and Träd, Gräs och Stenar. Brilliant and long psyched out drone album with some filler songs.

Flower Travellin' Band Discography

Legendary psych band i'm listening to a lot lately. They released another album in 2008 "We Are Here" which is terrible (for me) judging by this.
Anywhere (1970)

Kirikyogen w/Kuni Kawachi (1970)

Satori (1971)

Made In Japan (1972)

Make Up (1973)

This is the 2008 reissue with some extra tracks and demos. Repetitive psychedelic mind-bending songs. Highly Recommended for Wooden Ships Fans or any psych fans in general. P.S sorry about this wonky layout, can't fix it.

The :Egocentrics - Center Of The Cyclone (2011)

"Three dudes from Romania turn it up like Blue Cheer and swing like John Coltrane on this heavy psych instrumental masterpiece on the Nasoni label, Center of the Cyclone. Taking their sonic cues in sound from their hallowed EU brethren Colour Haze , the band navigates the most awe-inspiring peaks and valleys of jazz, spacerock, psychedelia and stoner rock with aplomb. Once the needle hits the vinyl, it’s a nonstop dazzling journey of sound.

Not many bands can pull off the jazz approach as applied to rock n’ roll. The :Egocentrics just seem to have a knack for aural exploration - the album seems to ebb and flow in a dreamy, musical undulation. Subtle changes in rhythm and groove, even in intense uptempo numbers like “Off The Center” and “Blissful Idiot” seem loose, like they were composed effortlessly from the ether. The more chill numbers like “Intuition and Coincidence” leave you mesmerized as the band navigates the farthest reaches of musical space.. The real magic is when the band combines both heavy groove and chill hypnotica – the amazing “The Unknown Sings” and “Lost and Found”. Both remind me of the first time I heard Colour Haze’s CO2, an essential listening experience.

Center of the Cyclone displays incredible musicianship and chemistry. The :Egocentrics are as nimble as they are diverse – able to jam it out, find a piece of the original melody and reel it back in. Great head music right here."

Tangle Edge - In Search Of A New Dawn (1989)

" These are all compositions blending raga-like arrangements, slightly psychedelic guitar and sitar, eastern instrumentation, and trance rhythms. Hardcore psych thirty years after the stuff was in vogue. But these guys do what they do very well, and all of them are seriously accomplished musicians with totally mastery over the instruments." - progarchives

Silver Bullets - Free Radical (2009)

William Giacchi of Magic Lantern and Super Minerals reports: ‘While visiting family in southern Sicily last December, I caught up with an old friend who has shared a very similar trajectory with me in interests of psychedelic music both newer and vintage, local and global. Much to my elated surprise, he has been equally busy producing new sounds of his own, having lately assembled a mysterious psychedelic groove ensemble known as Silver Bullets. I sat in on a recording session and realized I was in the presence of psychic brethren, and that Stunned Records would be the perfect platform to introduce their brand of tonal gyration. Both the Silver Bullets and Phil & Myste were thrilled about the partnership, and thus we present “Free Radical” — two sides, eleven tracks of kraut-funk, coned-out drone rock, and assorted experiments with space and time. Wade through bluesy head-nodders, Italian fuzz contests, interplanetary bleeps and blips, and liberated dance songs for anti-environments. Taking spiritual cues from Don Cherry’s Eternal Rhythm, “Free Radical” is a statement of unity through musical expression and an ecstatic celebration of existence. Play this tape at full moon and brace yourself for the unforeseen happenings.’” Limited & hand numbered edition of 100 pro-dubbed & imprinted clear green c48 tapes in oversized single-cassette vinyl album Stunned Records - Last.fm

Jackie-O Motherfucker - Valley Of Fire (2007)

To save you from reading nonsensical Pitchfork review, i will briefly give my opinion.  This album sounds like free form music with psychedelic elements. I have been using the word "hypnotic" a lot in my reviews, and i will have to use it again to describe this album. It's like a long peaceful psychedelic meditation.

Forest Swords - Dagger Paths (2010)

One man band of Matthew Barnes from Liverpool.  This is a very hypnotic album and comes highly recommended to fans of Fuck Buttons.

While Fuck Buttons channel the urban energy into their songs with high noise, Forest Swords channel the wilderness with a more serene and peaceful approach. Sorry about the brief review (if  it can be called review). I'm a very lazy man
